Your account
Display name & profile
Set the name your teammates see across Rounds, and keep your account details accurate.
Your display name
Your display name is how you appear everywhere in Rounds — on every message you send, in member lists, in @mention suggestions, and in typing indicators. A clear name helps colleagues know exactly who they're talking to, which matters when you're coordinating care.
-
Click Settings in the top nav
From the chat workspace — or almost any screen — the top-right navigation bar has a Settings link. Click it to open your account settings. -
Find the “Your name” card
It's the first card on the Settings page. Type the name you'd like teammates to see into the Display name field. -
Save it
Click Save name. Your new name is used across the app from then on — past and future messages all show it.
Your email address
Your email address identifies your account within the agency and is the address invitations and account messages are sent to. You can update it from Settings; for security, changing it requires confirming the new address before the change takes effect.
Your password
You can change your password from Settings at any time. Choose something strong that you don't reuse on other sites. Because Rounds also requires two-factor authentication, your password is only ever one of two factors — but it's still worth keeping strong.
Keeping your account secure
- Log out when you're finished on a shared or public device.
- Rounds also logs you out automatically after a period of inactivity — a deliberate safeguard so an unattended screen never exposes PHI.
- If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password and tell your agency admin straight away.
